Uxbridge Alderglade Nature Reserve

Alder glade is a small urban nature reserve along a former railway embankment, bordered by the ancient Shires ditch and Frays River. Though small, it’s an important wildlife corridor, particularly so for water voles. http://www.hertswildlifetrust.org.uk/reserves/uxbridge-alderglade

Tasks on this site include coppicing (which HMWT will tackle with chainsaws), dead hedging, creating habitat piles, burning, brush cutting, scrub clearance. There will be a brush cut in early September, so we will be focusing on further scrub clearance.
